after two weeks of rain out kickball games, the game was on last night for team wolf pack.... kinda.
you'll remember from this post that our first game was a mere warm up for the excellent athletic kickball talent that was about to commence this fall. we were simply .... bluffing. there's no need to put all of your skillz out there the first game. right? right.
well, i guess we were a little rusty from all of the rain - or the dive that we visited before the game {and after the game} and simply bluffed again last night. whereas we bluff on the field, we do not bluff when it comes to having a good time. even if that means we get burned in the outfield and have to chase the balls rolling and rolling and rolling, get smoked in the face attempting to catch a the ball, or get checked in the cheek by a teammate because no one was "calling the ball."
oops. so what? we only scored one run - go adam! so what? we are 0-2 - it's a long season. we're just getting warmed up. and, so what patty and i are banned to the dug-out at least 2 innings a game because we don't want to show everyone else up....... better luck next week, wolf pack. we may actually get to play a full game! howwwwwwwlllllllllllllllllllllll!
