my cup runneth over.

i'm beyond blessed and unworthy of the ladies that i call my best friends.

this past weekend was fantastic and good for the soul. there is something about a great, laid-back conversation with old friends that brings a bright smile to my face and a happy heart.

i spent friday night in jonesboro for a long overdue visit with natalie. we had dinner and i caught up with some old friends that i hadn't seen in years - litereally.

natalie and i enjoyed lots of laughs and hugs on friday night :)

saturday - we rose bright and early and went to the majestic grill to meet up with karin for brunch.
we sat there for hours, just talking and catching up.
at one point, i teared up because i am so thankful for these awesome girls and what we have become.
after brunch, we hit up the highly recommended nail bar for mani/pedis. let's just say - after 2.5 hours and having to watch country strong twice, we won't be recommending that place to anyone. ha!
we did get our nails done and had a great time.

it is hard to believe that we have been friends for 10 years!!
seems like just yesterday we were baby freshman and just trying to survive.

after i returned back to nashville on saturday night, meg twisted my arm into going on a sister date!
after an amazing day with friends, an evening with meg was just icing on the cake.

yesterday - i dominated wifely duties.
i mowed, weedwacked, blew off the driveway, cleaned the house, did laundry - all in preparation for my cousin Laura and her hubby Britton to visit for the evening!! :)
they were en route from little rock to the smokies and i'm so jealous!!
they're camping, hiking, biking, and going to the biltmore this week. it was so super tempting to hide out in the back of their van this morning and go with them. but, i decided that since this is their first vacation away from their adorable son Gabe and one year old twins Madeline and Seth, i'd let them be.
they deserve a week away hiding out in the woods
we went to dinner last night at broadway brewhouse and meandered around broadway for a bit.
it was great to visit and laugh and love on them. i was so glad they were able to stop in for a visit.

among the other many wifely things i did yesterday, i also took my child to get her summer cut!
she's so happy to be cooler!

the past two weekends have been so hectic and action packed, but so wonderful.
i am thankful for the great friends i have in my life and the opportunities that i have been given to spend quality time with them.

my cup runneth over.

happy 5 year friend-versary to you, kelly!
i met kelly 5 years ago today. it's hard to believe how quickly time flies.
i'm so thankful that distance has only strengthened our friendship and
makes me eagerly look forward to the next visit.
i love you, kels!

this road worrier is putting up the bags and resting for a few weekends. next trip - ALASKA!!
24 days and a wake up!
