JWood, MWood, Megs/Sistergirl/Auntie Meggie, Lilypants

Plot:

Normal Summer Saturday at the Wood Hood - MWood, Megs, & Lilypants doing what they do.

Then, the plot thickens.....

Conversation via email on Friday

MWood: Megs, look at this cute little puppy that Freedom Farm posted on their Facebook page! He looks just like Lily, huh?

Megs: Awwwww, MWood - we NEED HIM!

*sidenote: We have trouble with Needs vs. Wants*

MWood: Freedom Farm is going to have him at their adoption day on Saturday at PetSmart.

Megs: Can we at least go look?

Saturday Morning at Wood Hood:

Megs: So, are we going to go see Sundae? (that's the above dog's name)

MWood: Well, we can but we have to clear it with JWood and Lilypants. I'd be really pi$$ed if I came home from AK to a dog that I didn't even know we got. And, Lily must go with us - she's the princess afterall.

MWood calls JWood: (wakes him up because he works night shift)

Honeyyyyy....

JWood: Yes.....

MWood: I sent you a picture of a puppy that I want to go look at - did you get it?

JWood: Yes. I don't care if you get it, just make sure that Lily is ok with it.....

MWood: Ok! Yay! I just wanted to check with you to make sure you were ok with it. He looks so much like Lily, huh?

JWood: Yes. He does...how old is he?

MWood: 2 years old, potty trained!

JWood: (tired and ready to go back to sleep) Ok, MWood. Love you. Send me a picture. I'm going back to bed now....

MWood: Kloveyoubye!

Megs, MWood, Lilypants drive to Freedom Farm adoption day....

Scene Change: PetSmart.

Megs: Awww, there he is!

MWood: He is really sweet. Can we get him out and play with him?

(plays with Sundae for a bit....)

Megs: Umm, he is a bit bigger than we thought.....

MWood: Yea... and he barks a lot.......

*Lilypants turns up nose and is disinterested....

In corner, M & M spot a frisky black ball of fur.....

Megs: Ummmmmmmmmm, what is THAT?

MWood: Ohhhhh, lawdy. We can't even go over there!

Megs: But he's sooooo cute. Do you think he's up for adoption?

MWood: Probably....he's here, afterall.....

2 hours pass

Megs: So, how does all of this work? How much and who do I pay?

Freedom Farm lady: Do you want to adopt him?

Megs: I think he must go home with us.....

Rowdy:

3 month old Cocker Spaniel.

Black.

Not Potty Trained.

Rowdy as they come.

He fits right in.... with everyone but Lilypants, of course.

The princess is still adjusting :)

 

MWood: sends text to JWood of Rowdy....

JWood: upon waking up hours later.... MWood.... What's that?

MWood: Your new nephew!

JWood: But.... that wasn't the dog from the original picture you sent.....

MWood: Um, no. No, honey, it's not. But, he's sooooo cute!
