late nite tip

i have had a secret late night relationship the past week. i feel guilty about it. i really do. while jwood sleeps soundly of good tidings and great joy - i'm finding joy and excitement in my late night relationship. sometimes it leaves me with my heart pounding. other times, it leaves me heartbroken. but mainly, it leaves me with pride. i have been a sleepy kid at work and having trouble rousting myself from my slumber every morning.

 but, i wake up excited for the next night's adventures. 

this late night relationship happens to be with bob costas. 

thanks to the DVR - i think i have watched every. single. piece. of. coverage. i LOVE THE OLYMPICS!!!! i've been chanting USA! USA! all by myself several nights this week! i'm so proud of the American team and really have watched every bit of it... from shaun white's 1/2 pipe to the biathlon to couple's ice skating to holding my breath for lindsey vonn. 

i love it. 

i love the determination, the hard work, and cannot even fathom how those athletes feel standing atop the podium listening to their national anthem. 

my measly little 1/2 marathon trainin' ain't got nothin' on those folks.

so, my late night relationship will come to an end 

next week and we will return to life as usual.
