it's not just a federal holiday

today is a federal holiday. most state & federal offices are closed. the banks & post offices are closed. but, the soldier's offices are not closed - they continue fighting for our freedom 'round the clock. ironic, huh?

today is veteran's day.
it's a very special day at the wood hood.
i'm so thankful for my G.I. Justin and his service to our country. i am overcome with emotion and so grateful that he is here with us to celebrate this special day.

G.I. Justin served in the United States Air Force and also as a member of the Army in Iraq. like most soldiers, he is humble, reverent, and does not often speak of his time at war.
today - i must shout to the roof tops how proud i am of him & how thankful i am for his service.
to all of the soldiers & veterans, i stand in honor and gratitude for your service for this country. may God bless you and keep you safe.
please take the time today to thank a veteran & soldier for their courage and duty to this country, to pray for them & to pray for their families.
afterall, "freedom don't come free."
