big orange country

yes, i live in big orange country. i bleed orange and white. i'm still paying my hard-earned money for that great education i received from the big orange itself.
i am not sure if i have fully conveyed in written form on this blog my love for UT - UT football, to be exact. the mere thought of that little tune Rocky Top being blasted by the pride of the southland marching band, the sight of the masses of people who come out to cheer on the Vols, the adrenaline rush i get when the players run through the "power T" - ah, i love every minute of it.

although i could never and should never catch up to this lady in the UT garment department, i do love my vols.

however, i must say that i am not one to "adorn" all things orange and white. folks go crazy with their orange and white. cars, shoes, motorcycles, RVs - you name it, there are people that have put their TN spin on it.

yesterday, justin got home from work before i did and called to say "we're one of those people." those people? yes. we're one of those people who have adorned their home in big orange - and we didn't even request it. honestly, i had no part in these shenanigans. what if i had been a gator fan? (there are some in our neighborhood who have that wretched blue and orange paraphernalia on their cars - i bet they've got jorts in their closet too.)

but, thank goodness i'm not a gator fan, and we're now one of those people.

well, welcome to big orange country at the wood house. we now have this isore of a fire hydrant, adorned in orange and white, to greet us on a daily basis.

(look at little lilypants in the background - she's singing rocky top in her head...)
