Thank God For Meg.
Flying Saucer in Memphis |
The words that I put in this post cannot even begin to display the love, adoration, respect, and joy that I feel for my sister, Meg. (Or, as Lily calls her - Auntie Meggie :) )
If you've spent any time with me at all, you know quickly that she's my best friend and waaaay cooler than I am.
Not that I do not appreciate her every single day, but this week has been a true slap in the face on how much I depend on her and am so thankful that she shacks up at the Wood Hood to keep me company,
especially while JWood is away.
Meg is house/dog sitting this week and has been gone since Sunday. Boom. Empty house. Just me, my thoughts, and Lily. As if I didn't already know that I suck at being alone -
this week has sealed that deal.
One of the stipulations of this whole work-in-Alaska-for-the-summer
was that Meg had to move in.
If JWood and Meg didn't agree to it - it wasn't going to happen.
When M ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. :)
Though I miss her, I have embraced the complete solitude and have made the most of it. I have gotten in some solid work outs, cooked myself some delicious healthy meals,
finished a book, and caught up on some DVR and down time.
I'm learning, slowly, how to be alone and enjoy it.
With that said, HURRY BACK TO THE WOOD HOOD, MEG!
JWood and I could not do it without you, Meg.
We Love You, Seeeester :)
