i use "wood hood" to refer to our humble abode.

why? partly because it's matchy matchy and rhymes and mostly because we do, indeed, kinda, sorta live in the hood.

i am sure thankful for an additional selling point of the wood hood when the time comes.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Police said a pot-selling operation was busted within a mile of a Nashville high school on Monday night.

At about 9 p.m., Metro officials saw several suspects unloading what they believed to be marijuana at a home on Old Hickory Boulevard.

Officials said a search warrant served at the home revealed 4,000 pounds of pot packaged for resale.

According to a police report, the residence is within 1,000 feet of Cane Ridge High School.

Nine suspects were taken into custody Monday night on a variety of drug-related charges.

Police were expected to hold a press conference at noon on Tuesday to release more details on the case.
